The federal business opportunities, also known as Fed Biz Ops or FBO, is a free web-based portal that enables vendors to review Federal Procurement Opportunities over $25,000 for free.

- The FedBizOpps or federal business opportunities site is not easy to navigate, so do not hesitate to call their toll-free helpline for assistance.

- Subscribe to receive email notifications of announcements of particular agencies or activities concerning particular products or services.
- Apply to become a GSA Schedule Contractor to continue doing business.
- GSA establishes long-term government-wide contracts with commercial organizations through the GSA Schedules Program, which is also known as Multiple Award Schedules (MAS) or Federal Supply Schedules (FSS). It may take some time to apply and be approved for GSA membership, but it may be worth it if you want to do business with government agencies in the future.

Possibilities for subcontracting
There is a possibility that a single company might not be able to provide all the products or services necessary of federal business opportunities to meet the terms of a federal contract. To accomplish contractual obligations, a prime contractor may use subcontractors.
- SUB-Net (SBA Subcontracting Network) – Analyzes the postings of prime contractors to identify subcontracting opportunities.
- Subcontracting Opportunities Directory (SBA) – Provides a list of prime contractors by state, along with their addresses and telephone numbers.
